I need to buy double divan bed - what do I need to know and what mattress is the best. The budget is £300.?
I want good quality but not the most expensive between 200 - 300. What is the best place to buy?

The old saying goes that its worth buying good a quailty pair of shoes and the same for a bed ,because if your not in one there is a good chance you will be in the other , I do not think you will achieve quailty on your budget ,as the matress will cost that alone , wait and get more money together ,and then buy a bed that will last

If you are tight for space, go for a divan base with drawers for storage. Try it out in the showroom.

Argos, Tesco, any independent reputable bed specialist. Go for a decent mattress as this is what you are going to sleep on. The bed frame is less important.

You should get a good one for that price. A firm mattress is best for support. Visit all the bed shops and try them out. Ours is firm and for the first few nights we thought we had chosen wrong as we felt quite stiff in the mornings but after a few nights we were ok and love it. Best to shop around as prices can differ.

You might get a decent matress for £300, but you will need to save for the divan

I don't know where you are based but there is a good quality shop in London: http://www.tauruspinebeds.co.uk/products_beds.php
These all seem to be really good value and handmade.
