I need to clean nicotine stains from oak furniture.. what should I use to cut the residue?

I don't want to damage the finish on the oak table/china cabinet. After years of smoking I'm ready to clean up my stuff... any suggestions would be appreciated...

I have heard great things about orange oil and it cleaning nicotine but not sure if it's supposed to go on wood. You may try calling a furniture restoration company to get advise.
